Facts                                           :Only 1%of pure water is available for consumption of the total
                                                    water wealth.
                                                    Due to the unscientific involvement of man polluted the water
                                                    Resources .
                                                    There are different ways and means for water conservation.

Learning process
Response/Evaluation
Firstly teacher make friendly talk with the    students.
Then teacher enter in to the topic by seeing     the slides from laptop.After this teacher ask                          some questions on the basis of slides.
What you see in the slides?
Students replied that  we saw the slides related to the need of water conservation.
Why do we always  talk about the water conservation?
Students replied that   pure water  remains only 1% of the total water.In this context we should manage the water consumption and start  rain water harvest.
Then the teacher said that today we discuss about water conservation.
After this teacher gave brief description about water conservation and its importance in daily life.
Then teacher gave an activity[BRAIN STORMING] to students for knowing about water conservation.
    BRAIN STORMING ACTIVITY.
® In order to conduct the brain storming         activity teacher considers all students as a group.
®Then the teacher give the topic to the students-‘How can we reduce water consumption in daily life and discuss the ways of rain water harvest.’  .The teacher welcomes the creative ideas related to water conservation and rain water harvest.
Firstly  learners  think about the topic and express their ideas.
Nimmi john , the student,comment that we can conserve liters of water through the proper closing of  taps after the usage.
Most of the students supported her view.One of the students said that generally students and elders not close the taps properly and lose the water.
Then Praseeda expressed her idea is that instead of the use of shower, we use bucket and mug for bathing and earn lot of water.All students responded in positive sense.Anooja said that her[praseeda] idea is good but we can use shower through proper way.The idea of Praseeda is agreed by both the students and the teacher.
Then Aparna said that we can conserve water in the cleaning of plates and glass. She explained that commonly we take lot of water for cleaning of plates and glass.Inorder to avoid  this,we store water in a vessel and put the dirty plates and glass on it.Then water in another vessel to wash the plates and glass.Through this way we can conserve lot of water .All students in the group support her views and agree it.
Preethu expressed another suggestion for water conservation is that we can store lot of water from cleaning the vehicles.She add that before cleaning the vehicles,store water in a bucket and then wash.Through this action we can conserve lot of water. In cleaning the vehicles ,avoid hose.Using of hose causing water lose.Most of the students expressed the same view and agree the comment of Preethu.
Jancy participate in the open discussion and comment that through conducting awareness class and poster campaigning we  can give message to public and it may reflect it in the future. Teacher give reinforcement to  jancy for her valuable idea.

Then Parvathy comment that we can avoid pouring of water in to the field of plants.Instead of it ,we use waste water from kitchen for watering the plants.This suggestion is also agreed by students.
Then the students gave their ideas about rain water harvesting.
Sandhya Suresh gave the idea that through the construction of stone pitched bunds[kayyala],we can conserve surface water at the time of raining.
her opinion is agreed by the students.
Devika said that we conserve water by making Rain water pits[mazhakkuzhi].Reshma support her view and said that Is it possible in sloped region?.Teacher involved in the discussion and said that it is possible but construct it  in rectangular shape and plants the grass around the pits.
Then Parvathy comment that we can harvest rain water by making rain water tank[mazhavella sambharani].Most of the students support her opinion.
               This brain storming activity generated more ideas about water conservation.This topic is relevant because nowadays we face water scarcity during the summer season.All students actively participated in the discussion and suggested valuable creative ideas. The major ideas are following:
1)The proper closing of taps which reduce the condition of water lose.
2)The avoidance of shower reduce lose of water and conserve water.
3)we can conserve the water by using waste water from kitchen for watering gardens.
4)To conduct awareness progrmme  for  public and students.
5)To adopt and implement various  rain water harvesting  ideas.
                      The codified the brain storming activity.This activity which enriched the mental process  and creativity.The students
learned great water lesson from this topic.
